Terms & Conditions

These general terms apply to services agreed with MX Web Design. Your written project agreement sets out the deliverables, responsibilities and any project-specific arrangements. If it expressly varies these general terms, that written agreement takes priority. Nothing here removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Before work begins, we agree the website or services to be delivered. You provide the content, brand assets, access and approvals needed for the project, and confirm you have permission to use the material you supply. We keep communication clear and ask you to review work at appropriate stages.

Extra pages, new functionality, a different platform or a substantially different project are changes to scope, rather than design revisions. We agree any revised scope and schedule with you before carrying out that additional work.

Website design includes unlimited changes until launch. You can request refinements to the design and content within the agreed website scope while we prepare it for launch.

We ask for clear feedback and confirm your approval before publishing. Changes requested after launch, ongoing maintenance and new work are agreed separately; pre-launch revisions do not create an unlimited ongoing support commitment.

Your website is yours. You own the bespoke website design and original project work we create for you, and we provide the agreed website access and handover materials. You retain ownership of the content and assets you supply.

Third-party platforms, themes, plugins, fonts, stock assets and other licensed tools remain owned by their respective providers and are subject to their licences. We retain ownership of our pre-existing reusable tools and methods, with permission for you to use any of these incorporated into your delivered website as intended.

Schedules depend on the agreed scope, timely feedback, content and access. Delays or changes may affect the launch date; we discuss revised timings with you. Please check text, links, contact details and business-specific legal content before approving launch.

You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your content and for the accounts and permissions needed to operate your business online. We are not providing legal or regulatory advice through website design services.

Websites may depend on third-party hosting, platforms, plugins and connected services. Their terms and availability also apply. We do not guarantee uninterrupted third-party services, a particular search ranking, traffic level or business result.

Training, maintenance and ongoing support are provided where included in your written agreement or arranged separately. We discuss problems with our work and a reasonable way to address them; nothing in these terms excludes liability that the law does not allow us to exclude.

Please send concerns to hello@mxwebdesign.com, with your project name and a description of the issue, so we can review it with you. These terms are intended for a UK agency relationship. The governing law and any dispute arrangements may be specified in your written agreement, subject to mandatory rights that apply to you.
